This Poila Boishakh, Quest welcomed the Bengali New Year with an elegant and immersive décor installation, “The Lotus Mandala,” celebrating the richness of Bengal’s cultural heritage through a contemporary lens.
At the heart of the Central Atrium stood a striking lotus-inspired installation—symbolising renewal, purity, and new beginnings, much like the spirit of Noboborsho itself. Rising from an alpana-inspired base, the sculptural form transformed a traditionally floor-bound art into a layered, three-dimensional expression. Crafted in an ivory and red palette, the installation brought together intricate detailing and modern form, creating a visual that was both rooted and refined.
Surrounding the centerpiece, elements of Bengal’s artistic legacy came alive through terracotta textures, Bankura-inspired forms, and floral accents—subtly evoking the charm of rural traditions within a polished, urban setting. The décor extended seamlessly across levels with floating installations, illuminated accents, and suspended festive elements, ensuring the celebration was felt throughout the space.
Blending heritage with contemporary design, the installation reflected Quest’s philosophy of curating experiences that are culturally relevant yet elevated in execution. It created a setting where tradition was not just displayed, but reinterpreted—offering visitors a festive environment that felt both familiar and aspirational.
The response during Poila Boishakh was highly encouraging, with strong footfall and visible engagement across the mall. The Central Atrium emerged as a focal point for celebration, with visitors gathering to take photographs, spend time with loved ones, and begin the New Year in a vibrant, thoughtfully designed space.
Through “The Lotus Mandala,” Quest once again reinforced its position as a destination where culture, design, and luxury come together—creating meaningful festive moments for the city.
